In 1971, the residents of several West Dallas neighborhoods united to open a community clinic in a portable building to serve a population disenfranchised from the economic and social services of the city due primarily to language and cultural differences.

LBU Community Clinic has been fully accredited by The Joint Commission since 1998

Today, LBU Community Clinic (LBU) boasts over 78,000 square feet of space in two West Dallas locations, LBU West Dallas and LBU Pediatrics, and at 3 Oak Cliff locations, LBU Oak Cliff, LBU South Oak Cliff and our school-based clinic, LBU at TD Marshall.
