Dr. Loan Ngoc Nguyen was born in Vietnam. She immigrated to United States when she was 10 years old and resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in central New York at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Dr. Nguyen is licensed by the Texas Medical Board, is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
